Welcome to Zadar Boat Rent. By using our website [www.zadar-boat-rent.com] and our services, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before booking a boat or using our services.

1. Booking and Reservation

  1. All bookings must be made through our website, email, or authorized booking channels.

  2. To confirm a reservation, full or partial payment may be required depending on the selected boat and rental duration.

  3. Booking confirmation is issued via email. Please check all details carefully.

  4. Zadar Boat Rent reserves the right to refuse service to any individual at our discretion.

2. Rental Agreement Terms

  1. Included in Rent: Rental fees cover the use of the boat, insurance, all required equipment, and cleaning after the rental period. Fuel expenses and fees for additional ports or marinas are not included.

  2. User Responsibility and Competence: The renter confirms that they possess the necessary maritime and navigational skills to operate the rented boat safely. If the renter allows another person to operate the boat, the original renter remains fully responsible for any accidents or incidents.

  3. Payment and Cancellation:

    • Booking deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due prior to boat handover.

    • Cancellation by Customer: Deposits are non-refundable as a cancellation penalty.

    • Cancellation Due to Weather: In case of adverse weather, the guest may choose between a full refund (including booking deposit) or rescheduling the rental to another date.

  4. Condition of the Boat: The renter will receive the boat in proper working condition and fully equipped for sailing. Any issues or discrepancies must be recorded in the handover log at the time of pickup.

  5. Return of the Boat: The boat must be returned on time, by 19:00, with all equipment intact and a full fuel tank. Late returns will incur a fee of €50 for lost rental time, in addition to any costs for refueling if the tank is not full.

  6. Renter Obligations:

    • The boat must not be subleased to others.

    • The number of passengers must not exceed the maximum allowed.

    • Towing other vessels is prohibited, except in emergencies.

    • Appropriate footwear or barefoot must be used on board.
      Failure to comply with these rules may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement, and the rental fee will be retained.

  7. Navigation Limits: The renter is authorized to operate the boat within 3 nautical miles of the coastline and surrounding islands. Leaving Croatian territorial waters is strictly prohibited.

  8. Damages and Deposit: Any damage to the boat will result in the forfeiture of the security deposit. If no damages occur, the full deposit will be refunded.

  9. Non-Delivery of Boat: If the reserved boat (or a suitable replacement) cannot be provided at the agreed time within 24 hours, the deposit will be fully refunded.

3. Payments

  1. Payments can be made via the methods specified on our website (credit card, bank transfer, or other online payment services).

  2. Prices are displayed in EUR and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

  3. Any additional services (fuel, skipper, cleaning, equipment rental) will be billed separately.

4. Safety and Liability

  1. Safety equipment is provided on all boats (life jackets, fire extinguisher, etc.).

  2. Renters must wear life jackets when required and follow all safety instructions.

  3. Zadar Boat Rent is not liable for accidents, injuries, or loss of personal belongings during the rental period unless caused by our negligence.

  4. Renters must have a valid boating license if required by law for the chosen boat.

5. Insurance

  1. All boats are insured for hull damage and third-party liability.

  2. Insurance coverage may have deductibles; renters are responsible for the deductible in case of damage.

  3. Optional additional insurance may be available; details will be provided at booking.

6. Weather Policy

  1. Zadar Boat Rent reserves the right to cancel or reschedule bookings due to unsafe weather or sea conditions.

  2. Refunds or rescheduling options will be offered in accordance with our cancellation policy.

7. Intellectual Property

  1. All content on [www.zadar-boat-rent.com] — text, images, logos, videos — is owned by Zadar Boat Rent or used with permission.

  2. Users may not copy, reproduce, or distribute content without written consent.

8. Privacy Policy

  1. Personal data collected during bookings will be handled according to our Privacy Policy.

  2. By booking or using our website, you consent to the collection and processing of your data for service delivery.

9. Governing Law

  1. These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Croatia.
